1955 Mercedes Benz 190SL Roadster, Chassis Number 1210425501570, DB172 Anthracite Grey with bamboo leather and carpets. Powered by it's 1.9L in-line 4 cylinder engine with twin Solex carburetors making for 105hp, 4 speed manual gearbox, drum brakes, period Blaupunkt radio. Includes black convertible soft top and factory removable hard top. This is first year of production of which only 1,727 examples were built worldwide. Being a 1955 example it is outfitted with some very distinctive and early design elements: from the small window in the hard top, the gullwing style sport seats, eyebrows devoid of chrome strips, body mounted rear license plate lights and the turn signal indicator incorporated in the steering wheel trim ring. This is completely restored example completed just a few years back by acclaimed marque specialist, Jurgen Klockemann of San Jose, California.
